All set for Jamaica's local government debate
All seem set for the first Local Government Debate scheduled for tomorrow at 9 p.m.
The debate which will be broadcast live on radio and television will feature three-member teams from the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) and the People’s National Party (PNP).
Team JLP will comprise acting party chairman, Robert Montague, former Mayor of Kingston, Desmond McKenzie, and the Mayor of May Pen, Milton Brown.
They will be challenging the Local Government Minister Noel Arscott, PNP vice president, Senator Angella Brown-Burke, and the Mayor of Mandeville, Brenda Ramsay.
The PNP will open the debate while the JLP will deliver the closing arguments.
The debate which will be hosted at the CPTC Studios in Kingston will be 90 minutes long.
TVJ’s Archibald Gordon will be the moderator, while the questioners will be Natalie Campbell of IRIE FM, Dwayne Berbick of CVM TV, and Rhoma Tomlinson of the Jamaica Observer and the Northern Caribbean University.
