Local Government Elections in Manchester

Byron McDaniel - Walderston, Manchester

Local Government Elections in north east Manchester began on time with all 102 polling stations functional.

There has been a low turn out of voters in the three divisions, Craighead, Christianna, and Walderston, but it is understood that voting in the Christianna division is very low, but it is expected to escalate later where the largely professional voting population returns from work.

This election lacks the fervour of the recent General Election. According to the Christianna police there has been no reports of violence.
