On the director's mind - Voters, be prepared

DIRECTOR
OF Elections Danville Walker is apprehensive about voter co-operation
(persons turning up without their voter identification cards,
or not finding out beforehand where they will be voting).
On Friday, several election day workers and members of the
security forces were unable to vote as their names were not
on the national voters list. They will instead vote on Wednesday
along with civilians. The main reason given for the delay
was that the names of some security personnel were still on
the civilian voters list and had not been transferred.
According
to recent polls, 74 per cent of the population will turn out
to vote on Wednesday, October 16, 2002.
