PNP launches manifesto today

THE PEOPLE'S National Party's (PNP) long-awaited manifesto is to be launched today at a function at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston, starting at 3:30 p.m.

In what the party is dubbing a "world launch", the event will be carried live over the Internet, as well as through satellite link to various locations across the island.

Satellite link stations will be at the Golf View Hotel in Mandeville, Half Moon Conference Centre in Montego Bay, and the Jamaica Grande Hotel in Ocho Rios. The webcast will be available on the Party's website at www.pnpjamaica.com.

"The launch of the manifesto is an important opportunity for us to convey to the people of Jamaica what the PNP has done and what more we intend to do to continue moving the country forward on a path to sustainable development," PNP General-Secretary, Maxine Henry-Wilson said in a statement.

Party President and Prime Minister P.J. Patterson will outline the PNP's vision for the next five years.
